Data Analyst, CRM

The Corporation

A leading Private Sector Bank, a multi divisional in the nature of business strategy, is in search of a Data Analyst to be located in Bombay. This is a key position, responsible for reporting and data analysis  in a data warehouse and CRM initiatives .

Responsibilities

Will be responsible for becoming completely familiar with analytic and reporting tools, existing database technologies, schema, and data warehouse infrastructure. Will work with the datawarehouse team to recommend changes to schema design, lead in creation of new tools, and facilitate improvements to the overall technology employed for data analytics and reporting.

Warehouse Analytics: Work with marketing and strategy insight teams to help with data segmentation and analysis. Must use experience in data analysis to creatively approach our data sets to provide new insights into customer databases.

Interdepartmental Communication: Work with core business units, credit risk, campaign management and relationship marketing groups to provide analysis and support.

The Candidate Profile

Education/Experience 

Previous experience as a data analyst in a large, high-volume environment. Specific experience in analyzing customer data warehouse data is desirable.

Experience with an industry-standard reporting tools (e.g., SAS, SPSS, etc.). Proven expertise in the field of analytics in general. Must have ability to hand-code SQL and the ingenuity to come up with unique ways to segment, analyze, and report ad-hoc data requests.Must have worked in an analytics team requiring extensive interaction with multiple internal departments. Ability to multi-task is essential.

Potential to lead a reporting/analytics team in future.

Maths / Stats post-graduate qualification (especially if not an MBA, in which case Stats grad would be acceptable). Right exposure/experience is critical.

Preferred:
Hands-on experience of working on banking / retail projects (internally or internally)
Work experience in a Bank / Retail Financial Institution.
